I love family history!!

I love family history and I love writing. I do it in fits and starts, I am either pretty full on or completely off. At the moment I’m on, and writing this blog has motivated me to get going again on my research. I can’t imagine I will ever stop trying to find more information about my ancestors; when I retire I want to visit every English village they have ever lived in, and there are a lot, spread from Yorkshire to Somerset, from Kent to Lancashire. There are people living in large houses and obviously well off, connections to the Rowntree’s chocolate family (still to be exactly discovered) and those giving birth in the slums of Avon Street, Bath. I have found a line going back to Ireland, possibly Tipperary, but other than that purely English! My DNA is 85% English, with a bit of Irish and some Scandinavian ..... probably Viking! It is all so fascinating (in my opinion). My husbands and sons just don’t get it. They don’t care where they came from, and I don’t get that! They are passionate about football, and personally I don’t get that either! We are all different, but when you have a passion I suppose it is normal to not understand why others don’t share that same passion with you. I think I might bore people sometimes when I talk about my discoveries, if you are one of those bored people then I apologise! If you are bored now I don’t suppose you would have got to this sentence and hopefully you’re a passionate family research lover like me. Anyway, if you have a connection to my family and even if you don’t, and you want to know more, keep checking back in and as I get around to it I will post my discoveries. If you are just a person wanting help or look ups let me know and I will do my best to assist. Have a good day guys!
